I heard it was opening in May and I can't wait to see it.
We decided to wait a few weeks until after a family member's wedding to start looking at halls but I am curious if anyone has seen it or even pics.... what is the 'atmosphere' they are going for..... villa like again or more country club elegance?

I have heard that it is more like villas. I also heard that it has tons of marble every where. Another rumor from a friend is that it is $$$$$.

From what they told me.....they Port Jefferson still owns the facility and they have to stay with in their 'boundaries'. So it can not be too villa'ish.........it is supposed to be a lot of mahoghany and very country club elegant. They are offering discounts if you book for this year or book for next year by May 1st (before they officially open) but it is supposed to be pretty $$$$ for next year.

I actually cancelled my deposit a week later. I was quoted 95.00pp for a Sunday afternoon. They told me prices were going up 30.00 pp as of May 1 2004, b/c that is when they are opening. I heard it was gonna be marble dance floor and probably more toned down than Villa but they still had the same restrictions Villa has so it was not for me. I still haven't gotten my 1000.00 deposit back yet, and was told I would!

Well... we decided to call in the morning and see if they can see us tomorrow.... It will be our first look at a reception hall so I am excited!

are you going to see the pjcc tomorrow or villa? we went by last weekend and there are no ceilings up and it looks like the sheet rock has just been completed. i'm glad i'm the 10th wedding in may! agv is right, we verified what it was going to look like and they assured us that is was going to look like a country club because the board needs to approve everything.
we are finalizing our menu on tues. so i will let everyone know what i find out!

I called last week and they said I have to go to villas....
I know the food there is amazing- which is why I am looking forward to port jeff cc. I used to love villas and still think it is beautiful but my taste has changed.... looking for more of a mahogony and cream ballroom.... hoping port jeff cc is along those lines
