The night of your wedding are you

staying at a hotel or your house/apartment. I fell like since we will have an apartment its kinda a waste of $$.

we own our house and we still stayed at a hotel.
We think it was definitely worth the money.

we went to the garden city hotel. i think i would've done it regardless because it made the night a bit more special. DH carried me over the threshold and it was very sweet. definitely worth the $200

We plan on going home. We have 2 nights before the honeymoon so we decided not to spend the extra money.

i'd love to stay in a hotel, and probably will, but we haven't gotten that far with planning yet.

i tried to book the garden city hotel - they have a wedding pleasures package. . . but it was too early LOL i guess i am psychotic but i cant wait to book it!

our apartment is a block away from the reception, so that would be a MAJOR waste in our eyes... besides, we're already WAY over budget!

At first we were just going to stay in our apartment, but then we decided to get a hotel room near the airport. We got a limo ride to the hotel after our reception and then flew out the next morning, it was so easy bc we were already right there!!

Oooo let me know about that...FH and i talked about staying at the Mandarin oriental in the city but maybe it will be easier for us to just stay in LI after, but we said if we would decide to stay in long island that we would do the garden city hotel.

we're staying in the same hotel as our out of town guests in the suite. we'll have an after party at the bar. plus...we live in brooklyn, so thats a far ride home.

We went back to our house. We actually had people over that night. We partied some more and then after about 2 or 3 hours everyone went home and it was just the 2 of us

I would not have had it any other way. To us it was comfortable and we were happy to finish the night up with our closest family and friends, and then just us.

hotel we have a mother /daughter house and my mom lives downstairs lol hotel all the way ..

yeah it is literally like 5 minutes away and since the wedding ends at 2:30am i really just want to stay nearby. . . Royalty is giving us a lift there after -
but i am really messed up - i am not telling my guests about it. . . lol i am telling them about the Winngate which is also nearby - i dont want any of my guests there. . . i dont want to be bothered/see anyone that night or the next day - i am a terrible person lol all these other girls plan brunches for the next day and i seriously dont even want anyone to KNOW where i am going to be!

it is pretty overpriced - the King with the wedding pleasures package is around $500 and hte Suite is around $700 ( the prices on the website show the 2006-2007 prices they go up in 2008) but i still really want to do it! if you dont want to spend as much we stayed in a regular room for my bday and it was really nice too!
