I was there last night! Omg it was sooooo delish, I agree! I loved everything they served to us! I actually walked in late because we were stuck in soooo much traffic!
Did you go outside afterwards? We ended up sitting around and chatting for quite a while. lol It looked so beautiful!! I can not wait for my wedding next year! You are so lucky to only have to wait 5 more months! Congrats and best of luck to you! It's going to be amazing!

I agree the food is amazing. Very tasty and just so yum!! I walked around outside and in the CH room while I was waiting for FH and my parents to get there. I cant wait i'm so excited. SItting in the ballroom made it feel so real that im almost at my 4 month mark. It feels good yet feels so strange!
But the next year will FLY BY. I'm engaged almost a year already. It felt like yesterday...

So in the cutest moment today my FH and I took a ten minute detour home today and stopped by the NRC. There was no one there. We got out of the car and walked around the outdoor area (Id never seen the outdoor area in bloom - horrible winter night when I 1st went). It was so beautiful and we got to steal some sweet kisses while daydreaming of our wedding :) Well anyways we peeked through the glass doors into the CH room and they changed the carpets to match the dining room. It took me off guard and I have to admit Im a bit so-so about it. I liked the old carpet -- it was a soft blue if I recall. Either way I felt it kept the room open and airy which I liked for the CH and then the more formal carpet gave a more formal feeling when its time for the dinner reception. Dont get me wrong the NRC is beautiful and the changes they con't to make have brought the place to a new level. I'm just a bit disappointed. I had a picture in my mind how it would all be. I think i'm going to try and stop by this week and check it out from the inside. Now I'm getting petty (FH thinks I am already for complaining about the carpet - maybe I am???) but all these changes as I mentioned above are amazing BUT the NRC never mentioned any thing and I did question them when I was there 2x. Im being silly I know but you book a place thinking it looks one way and month by month changes are occuring (better or worse) it changes what i was sold on and no one from NRC mentions a thing about it. AHHH!!!

OK maybe i was blind the day i was there or distracted by the fact that the NRC was giving me 'that feeling' which took me way off guard! I was in tears b/c so much became real that day. ANYWAY - I just came across a post from like a yr ago about the carpets!!! I'm out of my mind - Ive been sick all week and on antibiotics - not an excuse but my mind is trippin!!! Sorry to freak anyone out.

That carpet has been changed fpr quite sometime unless I am missing something...

Hey ladies!!! I'm so sorry again for causing so much mishap! The carpets are the deep red/maroon - gold carpets in both rooms. Like I said my head has not been right being sick and on meds. Beyond the wedding many family matters have consumed my brain. Sunday's excursion to the NRC was partly b/cI felt all the distractions in recent months have made me lose touch with the wedding almost all together. Hope you understand and i'm sorry again!!! I LOVE NRC AND CAN NOT WAIT FOR JULY 11, 2009!!!

Hi everyone - I met with Maryann on Monday and she said they no longer work with Flowers by Brian. I figured I would let you know as there seems to be confusion on which florists can do the ceiling!
I think I may be booking NRC for my fall 2010 wedding.. if I do, I'll be posting in this thread more often!

Woohoo! Congrats on possibly booking this place!
With that said, my co-worker went to a wedding there on Saturday. She said everything was FANTASTIC. She had the filet mignon and she said it was perfect. Her husband got the chicken and he said it was the best chicken he ever had at a wedding place. She saw that someone got the vegetarian dish at their table and he got HUGE portions. The ONLY complaint she had was the bread was hard and stale. But, she said the cocktail hour was amazing in addition to the viennese. I love hearing good reviews of the NRC!

Hi, I am a NRC bride and I was wondering if any of you were notified that Ida no longer works at the North Ritz Club...she was the Banquet Manager that I had booked with and she was absolutely wonderful! She is one of the reasons why we chose the NRC and now it turns out she left a month ago...
I am so disappointed and a little bit annoyed that I wasn't notified...

She really left???? She isn't our banquet manager but she ran my Sister's wedding. She was there since they first opened. Oh that stinks. I liked her. But they come and go. Jenny was one of the original banquet managers too and she left too years ago. Doesn't mean things are going to go down the tubes, ya know?

Yea I'm not worried..Just when I met with her she told me how she loved working there and how her daughter got married there, blah blah blah..Just surprised to see her go!!
