~The official 2010 workout thread~updated

Hey ladies,

I noticed that a lot of us are concerned about our 'looks' and while we all look great, I figured we could still help each other out with toning up and looking great in our wedding dresses. I was thinking about starting this thread so maybe we can all get and keep motivated. If you all want, we can post workouts, our successful weeks and questions ,plus much more and we can all support each other on getting to our goals. If you're interested let me know. Than maybe we can start fresh October 1st, which would be 3 months to the 1st month of weddings.

Let me know

We gonna pump you up

ETA: AWESOME! So we will start October 1st, which is a Thursday. What I can do is post links and other workouts weekly, and we than post weekly our workout schedule (like what you did, how long etc) as well as questions and concerns regarding it. Plus, if anything, we can also post what gyms we belong to, and than maybe meet up so we have workout buddy (or buddies). I think this will really help us stay focus.

Sounds great.

Not a good time to ask me because I went into the gym like a raging maniac last night (having work issues) and wound up getting my foot caught in the eliptical/step machine. And now I can't work out for who knows how long, I can barely walk.

Sounds good to me. I think this is a great idea.

I like the idea! So, is it basically an extension of the daily 'How will YOU move today?' thread?

I do this on another site that I'm a member of - basically we just list the dates of the month, from beginning to end in our individual posts in the thread. Then we edit each of our posts daily (or as frequently as possible) with what workout we did that day. (This way, the thread isn't a million pages long) Some people set goals of # of days per month/# of minutes per month/# of activity points earned per month (it's a WW site - not the actual WW site but one for people who follow the plan).

Cool idea. Any extra accountability for me is always a good thing.

ETA: My workout routine is as follows:
Pilates every Thursday night and some Saturday mornings.
At least three days a week: 30 minutes cardio + 30 minutes strength each day. I've been upping the strength training lately and following advice from FH's brother, who is basically a fitness freak.

I change things up with running (now in the mornings due to less daylight in the evening - gotta be safe out there), occasional video workouts when I feel too lazy to go anywhere, and the random class at the gym. This Saturday I'm trying bellydancing for the first time!

I go to Pilates every Mon & Wed. & then some times I go to Yogalates on Thursdays. I also do a lot of what I've learned there at home on off days. I've been doing Pilates for like 4 months now & LOVE it! I always have been a conscious eater & try not to eat anything fried...I do love my sweets tho!

I tried zumba with my sister when I was visiting her in FL. it was sooo much fun!!

I´m in for this too. I really need to loose weight but in one month!! We´re doing a mini cruise with my parents for their 30th Anniversary. I gotta look good in a swimsuit. Plus we´ll be taking tons of fotos. I was thinking of buying some of the profesisional ones they offer and using those as our epics!!

The prob is every day I eat more unhealthy and do less excercise!!! Maybe this will help motivate me!! I will be making up a menu tonight!! That´s the only way for me stick to healthy eating. Now that I´m home all day (finished the last class I had so I´m officially unemplyed!! and can´t take another job until I come back from NY in Dec!!) I dont´eat until I´m really hungry and can´t think of what to eat and just eat whatever crap I find.

Excercise wise I was all set to start doing excercise and cleared a space in a room for it but now I can´t find my excercise videos!!!

But tomorrow I will look for them so that I can start excercising!!!

I am glad this thread was started!! I have such a hard time staying motivated. I just found this fruit detox diet that I was thinking of giving a go. Its suppose to help your skin, help you loose a few, and increase energy (which I need). It doesnt sound that torturees. Here it is if anyone is interested...

So is this INSTEAD of the 'How will you move today' thread, or is this IN ADDITION?
