I was floored when I actually went there. My fiancee and sister went on the first round of reception halls and I went when she narrowed it down. My mouth was wide open and I had a BIG grin on my face.
I'm getting married there and was trying to get together a list for everyone. It's hard to find reviews when most people don't put Flowerfield in the Post heading. I only found one.
Did anyone have a day wedding? We are having one and have extended the cocktail our for another 30 min. so we can take pics.
Who did everyone work with? We love Meaghan
Thanks for everyones time and effort to help others. We are all in the same boat or have taken that cruise.
Let me know if you don't want people to FM or contact you. I'll change the post.
Feel free to FM me anytime.
Best wishes to everyone,
Thomas

I'm getting married there on October 22. I can not wait. After reading everyone's reviews and seeing all of the pictures, I am soooo excited. I actually have to send them a check this week...thanks for reminding me!
Fall is my FAVORITE time of year at Flowerfield!!!!!! We paid cash so everytime a payment was due I had to bring it to them. I loved doing that. I loved seeing the change in seasons there

That is a great idea! I haven't been there since the day that we booked in October and everything looked so amazing at that time of year. Now I am struggling with the flowers because I am not sure what colors to do. You can pretty much do any color in that room and the bridemaid dresses are black so I almost have too many choices. I have appointments next week and I am still clueless.

Re: The OFFICIAL FLOWERFIELD THREAD (reviews anyone ?)
We were going throgh the same thing with colors. My bridesmaids are wearing black also,. The dress also has a little bit a of pick down the side. So we are sticking with pink, black and white as our color scheme. Luckily my FH and most of our groomsman like pink! We are doing high centerpieces on silver stands with all different types of pink flowers, we are using the white chair covers and then we order pink sashes (bows) to be tied around the chairs, below I attached what our place cards will be except the bow will be more of a light pink satin (like our chair sashes) and we will be filling them with pink and white personalized M&M's. Yes I know seems like a lot of pink but all our vendors that know flowerfield well keep saying it is going to look great...and I cant fight the fact that i love pink! The only thing we cant decide now is what kind of floral arrangement we want to put on the placecard table. right now in our flower contract it we have one medim height flower arrangement bt I think we need something even lower since the is so much green around...any ideas?
Attached is bridesmaid dresses and placecard holders.

Re: The OFFICIAL FLOWERFIELD THREAD (reviews anyone ?)
We used the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge. It was beautiful! We blocked out 40 rooms and then had a brunch there the next morning. The room rates were very reasonable and we had a magnificant view. We hired a coach bus through Alert Bus Co. for our guests to get back and forth.
Have fun today!!! When we had our reception htey had added a lot more lights outside. Pictures looked more like they were done during the day

Re: The OFFICIAL FLOWERFIELD THREAD (reviews anyone ?)
I desperately need hotel recomendations. We need about 50 rooms or so and I am not familiar with Suffolk at all.The two places that friends recommended that they thought were close to Flowerfield were Danford's and the Three Village Inn. Any thoughts?

I think they are both a pretty far distance from Flowerfield. But both nice. We stayed at the Hyat Regency and we blocked out 40 rooms. It is a very nice hotel. There is also a golf course. We had a brunch there the next day.

Re: The OFFICIAL FLOWERFIELD THREAD (reviews anyone ?)
Allison,
Thanks for the info. I'm looking to have all info for my invites by this weekend. Would you mind FM me the quotes your got if you remember any? Thanks in advance . You are always on top of things.
SHOWCASE review :
The showcase was nice and open. You had plenty of room to move without bumping into people. Maybe because of the vendor showcase I think we didn't really get to see the changes or notice them since we were focussed on CAKE. We'll be going back in a few weeks to make another deposit and I'll keep you updated. The pics we took this time were not really showcasing Flowerfields splendor but, I'll see if I can find the cord to put some pics of the snow.
We primarily went to figure out our cake choices. I loved the rasberry fruit filling and tiramisu mousse. We are going to have each tier with different combinations of fillings. That way everyone can have a little of each.
Janet King was there and her cello player played Cannon ( I'm not sure of the spelling , my fiancee knows ) I'm sure all your ladies know it. Having the harp, cello, and flute should really set the mood for our wedding. We are having alot of kids and not really playing ' Bump and grind ' music. I don't think my grandparents would be singing the THONG SONG.
I'm off to do some research on my hotels, the gym, and finishing my project for my Child Development class. We're gonna open a Day Care Center. Most of it's common sense but I don't want to look in hindsight and be like oh yea, that would have prevented that. Especially when it's a life at stake.
Best Wishes to everyone,
Thomas

How far is the Hyatt from Flowerfield? We have a bunch of people who have never even been to Long Island and I'm trying to keep things close. Thank you so much for the suggestion!

FM OR EMAIL OR POST any questions you might have. If you see someone with a review or they have chosen Flowerfield or might be considering our beloved let me know.
Also for the 2006 menus there were changes. All very good but, changes made nonetheless.

Re: The OFFICIAL FLOWERFIELD THREAD (reviews anyone ?)
Hello Everyone!!! I am a Flowerfield bride too!!!! September 30,2005 almost 6 months. I have searched for reviews on Flowerfield so many times and I am so happy I came across this thread. My brother got married at Lands End last June and we absolutely loved the food. I didn't want to get married at the same place so my sister in law mentioned Flowerfield. As soon as I looked at their site online I knew I wanted to get married there. I can't wait!!!!!

The last time that I went in for a payment, Meghan had mentioned that they were redoing the indoor pond. Did anyone notice a difference????? I was just curious.
