Hello. I am Valenia.

I would like to start a new club called the leftovers.

In order to be a leftover you must be completely confused by the Peeps thread, the Buckets, mentions of Grease, and you absolutely must not have a clue how sticks suddenly became important.

You can come to this thread, and hang out with the other clueless people like me (I'm hoping there are others) that somehow missed the boat despite being on this board for hours each day.

Perhaps we will be able to explain the jokes to each other. Perhaps we will not. Either way, we will provide emotional support for each other as the jokes go right over our heads.

So, anyone else out there or is it just me?

Valenia....I will join you too....I missed the Peeps, buckets, grease, and I have no idea what the deal with the veil on a stick was.

oh no - I went to lunch during this thread and now I am confused here as well. Too many pages to read about peeps, buckets, grease, etc... A brief summary would be welcome. I too want to join. Could I have a name as well?

sonia -- ah funny you should ask. Lest you all think I am a traitor, I have attempted to infiltrate the mysterious land of the Buckets. I believe they have accepted me as one of their own. I remain suspicious of their peculiar rituals. I have tried to imitate to blend in, but explain them I could not... I shall report back on my findings to all the leftovers...

HeatherandNick -- Fortunately the Buckets seem welcoming, so if you would like to go undercover as well you can... but be careful, those are dangerous lands for those of us who are board-humor challenged! Check back in with the leftovers and perhaps as a group we can decode their behavior...

I dropped off the face of LIW for a while - came back - and INVITED MYSELF to be a bucket!!!!!! They accepted me with open arms!!!!! It gives me something to do, when I don't want to be so serious, but I'm still happy to offer any serious advice when needed or congratulate people on wonderful things in their life. Come, come, come....BUCKETS for everyone!!!!

and p.s. - i still have no idea what it means! HAHAHAHAHA

An interesting idea BillysBride. Perhaps if we emulate their conduct, we may begin to understand their ways.

So, names we shall have, although here we should chose on our own so we can all have the experience and try to learn from it.

Our names should all be popular leftovers I would guess. I shall be Meatloaf.

What a great idea for a thread! Like Valencia, I can't read threads over three pages because I have so little time on the computer, and I can't use it at work because there is so little access! I am lost on the bucket and peep threads and am unaware there is a grease(?) thread. While we are admitting our cluelessness, can anyone give me a summary of the 'veil on a stick' joke from several months ago - I didn't get it! I have to think of a good leftover name - I should just ask my mom -she was always good with leftovers.

Valenia, I am right there with ya I caught some of the Peep thread, but it got too big for me to manage and now I am lost. I could have sworn Suzanne was a lover and Shamma a musher, but then I think it al got switched around on me.

I also have no idea why sticks or buckets are important. Those went completely over my head.

Lets please start our own group.

Julybaby/Becky - I am glad you have found your way into our support group. Perhaps we should invite guest lecturers into our thread to explain the jokes to the humor impaired.

Sticks I really can't help anyone with. All I know is that one day it became a really big deal if someone said stick, and then people started making it bold. I totally missed how it started. Any suggestions for a speaker to invite on the subject of sticks?

For Peeps I think we would have to have two people come to speak, because the only thing I seem to understand is that there are people who mush them, and people who don't mush them. Whats especially confusing is that the people who don't mush them seem to eat them. That doesn't seem very humane. Seriously, if you think its so bad to melt the ****ers, its ok to bite their heads off? Clueless I am! Or do the non-mushers not-eat the peeps, and are on a mission to set them free from the oppression of the shrink wrap? Applications currently being accepted for guest lecturer on peep culture as well.

The Grease thread was more straightforward although also mysterious. Basically a bunch of gals casting themselves in various roles of the play. Where it came from, also unknown. <>

Ahh the Buckets, another interesting question. I have no idea how the buckets started, but heres my best guess. Theres this gal named LeeLee, and she likes to sit on them. Apparently other people decided they wanted to play with buckets too. So they got together and declared their mutual adoration of said containters. Apparently the bucket has a bit of a chemical affect, because all those who become buckets are likely to break into song. Do you think LeeLee would do a guest lecture for the leftovers?
