Hi everyone-Help! I've posted this a few places, but really haven't gotten any replies yet. I just wanted to get some reactions about photographers because I just started setting up appointments
Any feedback on the following? Has anyone booked with any of them?
Duval
Artisan
12th Night
Patken
Dan Wagner
Thanks so much!
if you want suggestions, here are my favorites. THese are all photojournalistic photographers, most are independent too. If you want any traditional photos, they can do a few with family but otherwise their style is mostly ALL photojournalistic, its personally what i prefer so depends if this is your style. I didnt want traditional but again depends on you
Angelica Glass-she was my photographer and LOOOOVE her and her work is amazing. Here is her website, go to blog bc she posts every event she does in her blog
http://www.angelicaglass.com/
something in blue-its a husband and wife team and their work is also amazing
http://www.somethinginblue.com/
Henry Chan, my friend used him and LOVED his work and was great to work with, i was a bm so was with him alot during the day. Her pics came out gorgeous. Again look at his blog bc he also posts all his events in there
http://www.henryshoots.com/
Blue daisy-alot of girls used her too and her pics are amazing. She was also the photographer for TWOTY
http://www.bluedaisyweddings.com/
also look up Laura Ryan and Katie Lyman

The only one I looked at of those is Patken. Their work is great. The price is amazing- one of the best. However, I found that for a similiar price, Duet gave us TWO photographers, so you might want to check out Duet.
I also agree, Blue Daisy is wonderful- the pictures from TWOTY are amazing.

Has any of you JT brides worked with the planner that they give you![]()
Any comments

Thanks JT ladies![]()
My FH really wants to meet with the planner. Does anyone know what company they use? I'm afraid they will try and get us to buy stuff from them....alwyas my fear!
I met with her...not once but twice. Her name is Francesca and she works with Dazzling Affairs. (DazzlingAffairs.com). Very very nice lady! She knows JT like the back of her hand and has been in the business for awhile now. I believe, and please correct me if I am wrong, that she is free up to 1 month before your wedding. The first time I met her, I went with my FH and we were with her for about an hour just barely scratching the surface. Then, I scheduled another meeting with her just as recent as 2 weeks ago because I had this really bad feeling that I was forgetting something. Turns out I wasn't...but I was able to go over things with her and ask her 'professional' opinion about things (things the my FH could care less about) and most of her advice was helpful! I also felt comfortable enough with her that should she suggest something that I didn't agree with, I could say thanks but not thanks on the spot....which is important. Hey...if her services are free....why not just try her out....doesn't hurt much. Plus, she may not only be able to give you good ideas, but she also may be able to give you some sort of discount on invitations, favors, etc.!! Good Luck! Hope my info, helps.!

Wow I havent been able to post until now! JT was sooo crazy last night! We couldn't even find parking in the lot! Lol Anyways the food was great and the rooms all looked awesome. The Penthouse room is coming along nicely!! I have question about the number of people to invite.... if you have to guarantee a min. of 200....how many people do you think is a good amount to invite?
Usually they say...about 15% don't show...so if you invited 250 people...you probably would have about 200 RSVP.....I think thats what Francesca told me....and if your people are from out of town...you number jumps from 15% to 18%.

actually its 20-30% that say no and unfortunately with this economy they say its gone up higher. 20% is lower average but many get 30%

With the economy being as crappy as it is, that makes sense that people wouldn't be able to come...but I think 20% to 30% may be a bit high. 2 weeks ago Francesca was telling me I would be at 18% b/c my family is all from out of town. But then again, maybe by 2010 the economy will be better...who knows!

So quick rehearsal question for you ladies....I was told that they do NOT do rehearsals at JT. If you wanted, they could do a quick run through prior to the real deal...the day of. I was SHOCKED when I heard this! Did previous JT brides go to a park for the rehearsal? And current JT brides...any ideas as to what you guys are going to do? Thanks for the help ladies!
BTW - I am a JT bride....10-11-09; dome room!

no if you look up what alot of ppl say on here it is 20-30%. Past brides also posted after their weddings and said the same thing. I also had same thing for my wedding and this was before the economy. I invited about 330 ppl and had 275 guests. I havent seen many past brides who only had 15% say no. IT can always depend though some have high no's and others have very few but this is about average

most RH's do NOT do rehearsals prior to the day of your wedding, just a quick run through the day of thas all. Sorry but you'll know what to do
i got married in a church but i know all rh's do this.

Re: The official JERICHO TERRACE thread
in terms of the rehearsal i told rob when we booked that it was important to me to have a rehearsal, and he said that we would be able to come in for one, but that it would be about 200, and that we could schedule it closer to the wedding--im assuming they schedule them around the other events they are having, which is fine with me, but were doing pics before so i dont want to worry about a rehearsal as well

Re: The official JERICHO TERRACE thread
Hi,I am new to this thread, and getting excited about my upcoming wedding at JT on 3/22/09. We were going to book Sandals in St. Lucia because it looked so beautiful. I have been to Jamaica hundreds of times, since my family is from there so if you have any questions please feel free to ask. My fiance and I decided to book Secrets Maroma Beach in Mexico. They are similar to Sandals only a step above according to our travel agent. (Liberty Travel) The reviews are great, so check it out.
Does anyone know if JT will have any flowers at the end of March outside for pictures. I am hoping they do like tulips or something?
