2/19/11 here... We booked the daytime, and it turned out that it was already booked (We were told that rarely ever happens.), so they gave us the same pricing/etc. for that evening!

Does anyone know of a hotel that does a shuttle service to Flowerfield, rather than the airport? I think I heard someone say something about a place in Bohemia??

I was just wondering if any of you have checked out the photographers on their preferred vendors list?
Any recommendations or know anyone who has used any of them before?

oh my i missed the few times this thread was bumped up...
hotels...i've noticed that they are all pretty much at least 15 minutes away. we booked with the Marriott..i forget the town, its off the LIE..you can see it..all huge and blue...maybe hauppauge? they gave us a great rate for February
as for photogs..i agree with Imagine..they are wonderful, my brother used them a few years ago. Such a sweet couple to work with. We are booked with Patken. So far so good, our photog is Jessie and i adore her. we havent had any problems working with them yet and ive already made some demands and changes hehe. Also i have seen their work a few times and people were satisfied.

i had gotten one for like $400 but i cant remember the amount of seats that were in it..and that was for one trip each way. i think it was like 16 passengers or something?

Has anyone received quotes for any of the photographers on the preferred vendors list?
Also, any idea how much of a deposit you generally leave for a photographer?
I'm so lost with this stuff.

not sure b/c i don't know if it went up or not but they have a Winter package at that time with a ton of stuff included such as photog, flowers, cake upgrade, etc, etc.
