my FMIL's sheltering is much worse ... FH and i told her that we never ever kiss (just on the cheeks) and she believed it for like 6 months!!! (and this was when we were already living together!!!)

FFIL actually believed it too, but only for 2 or 3 months (i guess he never told FMIL)
