My parents are very close to booking the orchid restaurant in Garden City for our engagement party/lunch. I've never been there! i figured, I chose the RH so I would let them choose whatever they want for enagement party.
Thoughts on The Orchid? How's the food and the atmosphere?

Yes! That's the one. My parents said the menu looks delish and that they offer lots of food.

The company I used to work for had their Holiday party there every December. The food is awesome! I hear alot of people say great things about it also...

the orchid is by far one of the best chinese food resturants in long island, i think... its not your typical one, its definately 'garden city-ish' (meaning i think its really nice lol)

Great choice for a party- the food is great, the staff is so nice and the location is really cool.

I am having my rehearsal/out of town guest dinner there. I have never actually eaten there, but it came highly recommended from my photographer.

I live a few blocks away and we go there often. I LOVE the food. I think you should go there first and see the place for yourself but the food is fab! The place has lots of mirrors and is in the basement. It is very guaudy. See if it suits your personal style.

I saw that in the pictures.. Usually, I would be like 'ummm' but my parents are getting a good deal on the food so I'm keeping my mouth shut! As long as the food is yummy, I will try and ignore the mirrors! But thanks for the heads up!!
