The Plague is spreading, be warned.

The Plague is spreading, be warned.

People at work are dropping like flies calling in sick. It really started at the daycare center on campus (work at a college) now its hitting the parents who are spreading it to the other co-workers and soon student populations.

I am hearing general schools are getting many no shows as well. Seems more viral flu then anything but no one knows. People are getting the pukes and um other things. SO take your vitamins and stay healthy!!!

Apparantly it's really bad this year. People are getting it out of nowhere... no symptoms before it unleashes it's fury!!

I guess one school in Westchester shut it's doors because so many people were getting sick that they decided to close to sanatize everything

My mom works in a middle school and said the line at the nurses office was out the door and they were handing out buckets and bags to kids who were getting sick

I stopped at Duane Reade on my way to work and picked up a huge thing of purell!

Well, that seems to happen every single year I'm a Pre-School teacher and at some point there's always a huge spread of flu or some other sort of sickness. It's just the kids bringing it in and giving it to each other and the teachers who are caring for them. It gets crazy. And it seems I can never escape it no matter what i do - just stall it a little. Ugh. It's such a pain. Right now i'm not working until after the wedding, so I'm safe. lol. But i AM worried about when I DO go back to work in January or February. I always get sick when I start up work again. I think my immune system forgets to be so tough when i'm NOT with children. lol.

I hope everybody at your work gets better soon. When that happens, i usually try to stick with vitamins, washing my hands more, and holding sick children less.

OMG I am terrified of getting sick before the wedding. Yesterday on the train, everyone was coughing and sneezing around me and I literally turn my head away from them and cover my nose to block the germs. People must think im insane but I dont care. I cant get sick!!!!

My work is offering a free flu shot but it makes me nervous to get it so close to the wedding in case it makes me sick.

I don't blame you at all. I'm dreading this winter for this reason. Last year I was sick several times with this bug. I wasn't throwing up, but just sooo run down and drained kind of like the flu...and it lingers. You should try and take Airborne or extra Vitamin C to keep your resistance strong.

Thanks I'm taking a multi along with gummi vitamins for immunity ( w/ echinacea and zinc) and also an Emergen-C every day and a B12. It just ***** that i take the LIRR and a subway to work everyday. Thank god for antibacterial hand gel.

Good idea! Oh, I know what you mean. I walk from Penn in the morning but at night I take the subway, so I keep my Purell easy to reach in my bag. The other night this lady was coughing so badly non-stop on the LIRR; I was so glad I wasn't sitting close to her. Between being sick so much and with the wedding, I have NO days left, so I can't afford to get sick right now. Hang in there!
