The planning has begun...

for my friends shower. I am her MOH and she is my MOH one month later. Her mother is doing a lot of the big stuff...as far the place and invites...BUT I would like to plan some fun stuff too. Also, brides who already had their shower, can you give cute ideas for special ''gifts ' (in addition to her registry gifts... )

Also, anything you ever saw planned that flopped let me know that too, so we dont do it.
I appreciate all the help. I want it to be very special for her!

My brother bought me christmas ornaments for my shower. I thought it was great. Especially if you are planning now you can get stuff on sale or get things after the holidays. I thought this was great because althought I bought some ornaments last year after christmas I needed alot more.

Also I know someone did a underwear basket instead of a wishing well. I also love the candle ceremony.

i like the idea of the christmas/holiday wishing well thing too.... i wish they had done this for mine, because we have no christmas ornaments or decorations yet... so it would have been nice to get a few
a couple fun things that my girls did at my shower- they did 'poppers'. take empty toilet paper rolls and wrap them in pretty wrapping paper. before you close up one end, put in a peice of paper with a cute quote, funny joke, etc about love/marriage. every person at the shower gets one, and when the bride opens that persons gift, they have to open their popper and read what is inside. this was GREAT! really kept people interested and entertained while i was opening all the gifts.... just something different and more fun than bridal bingo.
they also did a video with my FI- asking him questions about me/our relationship. at the shower, they would ask my the question, then play his answer to see if we were the same on it... sooo cute to see his expression while he was trying to think about some of the answers

I love the question answer idea... if the shower is at a restaurant, how did you set it up? how could i set it up?

i collected through the holidays...like the day after halloween, easter, xmas, etc i got all the stuff clearanced..i got a HUGE clear bin abd made a holiday decorations basket. Me and my friend gave it to our other riend in addition to registry stuff. we also made a poem for it...i will post it later if i can find it. i have it saved on my home computer i think.

we covered EVERY holiday though..st pattys day and all!
