The poop is normal!!!

How funny is this (or gross ) -- Gianna has been having a pooping problem and the dr wanted me to bring in a 'sample' to see if it's normal (no blood, etc). So I take home a dirty diaper from my mother's on Friday to bring to the dr on Sat, but I left it in my car (who wants to keep the stinky poop around ) and when I got in my car on Sat, THE DIAPER WAS FROZEN SOLID!!! There went that.

So yesterday morning she poops, I wrap up the diaper twice in those Sassy bags (gotta love them!! To all preggos, definitely get them!) and carry it with me to work!! How embarrassing!! Joe was moritified that I did this, but what else am I going to do? I was going to bring it to the dr during my lunch hour, but since I had an emergency with my father (don't ask -- that's another post and one I'm sick of telling -- just know that I'm BEYOND stressed at this point), I had to run home and relieve my mother from babysitting, but before I did, I ran to the dr to bring the diaper.

The poop was tested, no blood, normal, etc, YEAH!! But the funniest is the dr comes out and says to me 'very nice, the double bagging. No smell at all!'

When I told Joe, he looked at me and said I was out of my mind!! Not for nothing buddy, but I'm thinking I'm NOT the only one out of their mind.....

And the pooping continues, but at least I know it's ok now!! And the dr gave me these things to put the poop on next time to bring in, instead of the diaper!!!

Sassy has these disposal bags (they're blue) and they have a scent to them. They're great for when you're out and don't have a garbage near you right away. I use them at home too because it's convenient -- they're in the diaper bag, which is next to the changing table, so I don't have to go running into the kitchen.

I think BRU makes them also, but I got the Sassy ones, with the dispenser, at my shower.

Where did you get the Sassy bags Deb? I'm sick of the diaper genie and just want to bag up the poop to put in the garbage...

FYI, baggie Mommies: Every 99 cent store I have been in carries the 'baby King' line of products. They have scented poopie diaper baggies that work great. The are 100 or 125 for 99 cents. That must eb cheaper than the BRU ones, no?


Another thing you learn when you become a parent, you never knew you could be so obsessed with another person's poop - but you are. DH & I have had many many discussions over poop.

The 'Poop Watch' is quite funny! When she first came home she would go a couple of days w/o going, so that was a concern and my MIL was DRIVING me crazy with the 'did she go today' question. Now that she's going all the time (3-4x a day now ), it's the opposite question!!! The woman is obsessed with the Cub's poops!!!! And if she's not pooping she's farting, and then I have to hear all about that too!!! For which I answer 'well it has to come out one way or the other, or else she'll blow up!'



I don't think she appreciated that too much!!!

Hopefully you will never have to give a urine sample. One of the kids from my day care had this and it's this thing you stick over their peeper and of course it never works or when you try to take it off it always spills all over the place, and of course the mothe rhas us do instead of doing it at home.
