Yamulkas!!!! Im having an interfaith wedding and dont know how many to get since its optional to wear. So with 430 invited, i figured half are my guests, half of my guests are male, so maybe order 90? and its coming out to be like 175 for those 90!! i feel like this is a crazy price! i went to skullcap.com anybody else have a less expensive company to recommend?

No, it's traditional to give them out at a wedding.
Did you try local Judaica shops?

i am having an interfaith wedding too...i dont think we are providing them, no one is really religious on his side. Are you getting a ketubah, have you seen the price of those????!! i am hoping we dont HAVE to have one, it doesnt mean anything to me or him, and they are like $300!!!!

I will ask FH but I know there are some SUPER CHEAP stores in queens. . though it seems like yours are only about 2 dollars each which isnt that crazy but I know how all the little things add up and start to get crazy. . do you want/need them personalized or just anything to hand out?

I know this sounds strange, but I bet you could call a bunch of temples locally and see if they can gather leftovers for you from various bar and bat mitzvahs over the next few saturdays and you'd collect enough... they'd all be random colors and have random other people's names and dates in them, but they'd be yalmulkes... then again, I'm super duper in to recycling and reusing things which would fit in at my wedding but probably not most...
Have you thought about getting generic ones, and not personalized ones? Perhaps those would be a lot less.

Thanx ladies. Most places won't charge for personalization. I will def try those websites and stores!
I def don't plan on getting from temples though. I would want our own for people, not others. But thanks for the advice.

I ordered ours from judaism.com They were $20 per dozen and if you order 5 dozen or more the personalization is free. I haven't got mine yet but I read someone else ordered from there.
