supposed to marry us left! We both really liked him, he was down to earth had a good sense of humor etc. It was so weird b/c I handed in our pre-can forms like almost a month ago, call 2 weeks ago just to make sure he had goteen them and everything was up to date. Never ghot a call back, but didn't really think anything of it either. So I called again last night to find out he had left. Now we have to find a new priest

The diocese shuffles priests around every few years or so. If you really liked him, perhaps you could contact him at his new parish and see if he would stil be able to officiate your wedding? We are having an outside priest do ours... it's usually not a problem, you just have to fill otu some paperwork and let the current priest in the parish know. Or you could just schedule with another priest at your church OR you could have a deacon at your church do your ceremony if you know/like one of them. (You would still need a priest there if you are having a full Mass, a deacon cannot do the LIturgy of the Eucharist).
