Do you typically tip the priest at the church? Our priest was a priest at my church, but he left to go to another parish and is coming back for our wedding. I definitely want to get something for him, but I don't know if a cash tip is the way to go. Maybe a gift card to a restaurant near his new parish? What do you think ladies?
Generally priests aren't *supposed* to accept cash gifts. But a bottle of wine or a gift certificate to a restaurant sounds like a nice idea!
We gave our priest a tip. I wrote a really nice thank you card and included a tip. I felt the priest went above and beyond what was expected for me and my parents.
we gave him a gift card, but our priest was also a friend of the family.
