Also.. they have the venue set up where they got married in the same room as the reception. So the guests were all seated at their tables while they watched the wedding.
How many do this?
Im thinking its not usual.. but also thinking it may kinda interesting. The guests all sit and have a cocktail , during the ceremony, then when you go off to take pics, cocktail hour and appy's are served... I guess the 'alter' is broken down and would be the dance floor.?
What does everyone think of this concept?

I saw this on engaged and underage on MTV... That was the first time I saw that.
I'm getting married in a church, so it wouldn't work for me! I personally like the idea of a separate ceremony room better.

My Aunt's 2nd wedding was like that. and when they said I do and kissed, we all toasted and cheered. It was very nice, and made things easier because everyone could be in one place for th whole time and not have this huge time between the ceremony and the reception.

I am getting married at Giorgio's at Fox Hill and our ceremony will be in the same room as the reception. They put all the tables to one side of the room and put up screens to hide them. Then they set up the chairs for the ceremony. After the ceremony, everyone goes to the cocktail room and in the hour that the cocktail hour is taking place they set up the reception room. Here are some pics:
