The refund law in Suffolk

MY FH and I booked our wedding 2 years ago. We cancelled it over a year ago and they told us we only get our money back if someone books our date. Apparently no one has booked our date- I even had a friend call pretending that she wanted to book the date and they said they still had it open. But then I kept seeing all these things about the law in Suffolk. That they can only keep $100 or something. I gave them $500.
Does someone have easy access to that law because we are going to call and I want to be prepared with the law.

It does we just called them and casually mentioned the law and they stuttered and said they would call us back.
