The response of some vendors is completely unprofessional!!

The response of some vendors is completely unprofessional!!

So I emailed one vendor regarding a hair trial. Not only did it take forever for her to initially email me back, but its been about two weeks since I responded to her email and not heard a thing.

Yeah, well, I absolutely refuse to book w/ anyone
who can't respond to a potential client w/n a reasonable time frame!

I completely understand vendors are busy, but two weeks and plus and still no response to an email...You've got to be kidding!!!!

Anyways, I really could care less since I'll probably end up booking w/ a hair salon who I know can achieve the look I want!

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU!!!

One hairstylist spelled it 'trail' instead of 'trial' but it's even on her website..... makes me anxious

i started a thread on this a couple weeks ago!

Im sorry but if you cant spell my name right then you shouldnt be allowed near an email!!!

one lady wrote just this:

Dear Bride,

What can I do for you?

Renee
631-xxx-xxxx

<--- what?! im sorry but you dont even get a NAME, or a link to your company, or better yet what your company DOES

My response:
'If you cant get my name correct, or even tell me about your company then why would I want to have you as a vendor?'

Sincerely,
LINDSAY <----- (my name)

Her:
'well its easier to just send a quick email then waste my time with information, so you arent confused?

Me:
' dear Renee,
if you cant compose a proper professional email about your company and what services you have to offer, what makes you think that I would EVER want to deal with you on a proffesional level. I should be the judge of how much time I waste on looking through vendor information. Now, seeing as I still do not know what your company even does, or the NAME of your company, we are done communicating. Thank you and have a great day.

SIncerely,

Lindsay

That sucks- who was it?

I've been going through that with one vendor over the last week and a half, but I do realize that the holidays are coming up etc. In the past she had been very reachable.

But it definitely makes you want to spend your money elsewhere!

I'm the exact same way, if I get a bad vibe or they take too long to respond they are out, I had a guy who emailed me a ad about his company twice, once with my name and once with someone else's...I didn't want his email in the first place!

i can't stand that! it's one of my biggest pet peeves and i refuse to work with anyone who can't get back to me within a reasonable amount of time. don't make me hunt you down to give you my money!

i had an issue with the girl booking my hotel block - she was taking foreverrrrr to get back to me, and when she did she sent over wrong info numerous times. i went over her head and emailed her boss. i told the boss that i would only book if i didn't have to deal with the first girl anymore.

I had the same problem with someone who everyone raves about on here. I really wanted to do a hair trial with her - called about 6 times over 2 weeks and emailed twice. In the end, I booked someone else but to this day I still have never heard back. I think her mom was sick or something but I would still expect some sort of acknowledgement!
