We took mom's wedding band to the city to be fixed today and now I can wear it on my wedding day. they even dipped it in rhodium to brighten it up and it looks awesome. The only issue was when they resized and soldered it, the'56' in the inscription disappeared so we had the '56' re-engraved (just not telling mom).Turns out the ring wasnt cut when she was prego with my sister, rather when she was prego with ME. So I guess I made her gain weight! It is a great feeling knowing that something from my Dad will be a part of the ceremony. Afterwards, it will go on my right hand and I will wear the platinum band that FH is giving me.
Before and after pics - the lines on the side are still there but Im a lousy photographer and editor:
Awwwww, that is so wonderful!!! I know (from your posts) how much it meant to you.

Well my parents would have been married 50 years as you can see. Dad passed right after their 49th. You should have a long marriage like they did. One of my closest friends is getting married on that day too. I would have also but it was about $15-20 more per plate at my location and I wouldnt be able to get married close to 9pm because of the Sabbath - no rabbi would marry us until the sun went down!

I don't have anything passed down from my family at all, but when I have kids I intend on passing down my ring to them.

That's great.
I have a ring that my mom wore when I was little and I had it rhodium dipped also and will use it for ceremony. It's sentimental but yours is even more so.
