The Rules

just finished watching The Ugly truth. Loved it!
made me think of dating rules.
me and FH were the opposite of how u suppose to behave according to THE RULES. I kinda asked him out on to 2nd date and to be my date on bday for the 3rd date (after which I 'attacked' him lol). Then we moved in after dating only 2 and a half months. We both also never gave much thought as to who will pay for the date - sometimes him sometimes me.
I was completely myself from the 1st moment we met.
FH on the other hand presented a better version of himself. But ultimately we never plaid it by the rules. The only thing I did is for the 1st 2 weeks not to initiate phone calls.

what about u guys? did u play by the rules when u 1st started dating? just curious

Yes we played by the rules. When we first started dating, Anthony initiated the phone calls and always asked me out on a date. Anthony is a traditional guy. Heck we're still playing by the rules lol. Anthony still won't let me pay for dinner even though I say I am taking him out for his birthday.

I knew from our first date that he was going to be the man that I would marry. And I was always scared that I would do something to mess our relationship up. So I was always trying to be as good as I could be. At some point, I realized that he was doing the same. But as our relationship progressed, we both realized that it wasn't good for us. So we have slowly learned everything about our good and bad points about each other. Playing by the rules has strengthened our relationship because we have taken our time with each other.
