Have you checked out Fox Hollow? It's a really gorgeous place and pretty reasonably priced. Great food and service too!

If you have your wedding on a week day it will save you and your fh a lot of money. I am using Westbury Manor and for a weekend wedding it runs 140 something dollars but for a week day it is $83.54pp, and the grounds are beautiful.I was there last night and it was great.

I wish I could do it on a weekday...i have an extremely large annoying family...that are already complaining that they're goign to have to drive so far to the church in MASSAPEQUA!!!! let alone a hall out east...FF offered me $110 sat afternoon and i don't know what to do....

I don't want my reception to just end at 5:30...i feel like no one's really gonna be into it JMO and my crazy a$$ family...stupid Sicilian and Irish crazies..then you add the FH Irish and Puerto Rican fam into it....

Now you see my problem....

Re: THE SEARCH CONTINUES.....

i know majestic gardens is far. my FI family is coming down from westchester. We are providing a hotel that is down the block from MG and they run a free shuttle from MG to the hotel so people can get drunk..lol.. thats our justification to having it so far out east. And we love it... so if people dont come cuz its too far its their loss not ours!!!... and the prices are under 100 for a friday night in june! let me know if u want more info.

Listen sweetie, you can't please everyone. Beside this is you buys day. If you all deside to have it hawaii who ever want to be there will be there. Do what you want to do and how you want to do it, as long as you and your fh is happy.

i completely agree... they'll come no matter what and who cares if they b!tch and moan about it. as long as you both are happ with your choice since your guests aren't paying for the wedding they should keep their mouths shut!

Re: THE SEARCH CONTINUES.....

We recently looked at milleridge inn, specifically the cottage and it was really nice and the cheapest price quote so far (and we've looked at 10 places). We're getting married in september so the prices are going to be a little different but they quoted us $68 pp, not including gratuities. It doesn't include as many bells and whistles as the other places but being that we are paying for the wedding ourselves, it seems the most suitable for our needs. My dream is to one day be out of debt **sigh**
