i am freaking out about the fact that i am probably going to end up with a strapless dress since my arms and upper back are my least attractive features! Does anyone know of any exercises for the upper arm flab and upper back area that actually work?

The book Buff Brides has specific exercises targeted for areas that you need to look good in a wedding dress.

Re: The Strapless Gown Nightmare--Arms and Back
I have a copy and I used it a lot when I first got it-but I couldn't motivate myself to do it (I never go tpast the 1st weeks workout!!!-- so I had to join curves.. I should start again....

Re: The Strapless Gown Nightmare--Arms and Back
I stopped doing the 'prescribed' workouts and switched to doing select exercises in that book, largely b/c I found some exercises difficult to do without the aid of a personal trainer and was afraid to cause injury. This particulary relates to the medicine ball workouts.
I do think that the 1st weeks exercises of the 6 months schedule hit just about every upper body muscle one can think of...

Re: The Strapless Gown Nightmare--Arms and Back
I have been doing the book for 9 weeks now, and am seeing good definition in my arms, as well as my legs. The legs are an added bonus, as I only bought the book to tone my arms. I really like that they have alternating excersizes, so you dont get bored, and challenge all muscle groups. I do Buff Brides 2-3x a week, and cardio 3x a week. Am much more toned and tight now, when I wave my arms I do not create a breeze anymore
