The surprise of my shower is ruined....

So I guess it is true, everyone finds out about their shower and it is not a surprise. My cousin just wrote me an e-mail telling me she is sorry she can not be at my shower on Sunday! She can be such a space case sometimes. I know she didn't tell me on purpose to ruin the surprise. I had a feeling it was on Sunday but FH was able to talk me out of the 'feeling' I had.

I am not upset; I just feel bad for my Mom, MOH and the rest of my BM's that have probably been going crazy trying to keep this secret from me.


I actually feel a little relieved that I know when it is and I didn't have to snoop around to find out. I had mixed emotions about the whole surprise thing from the start but everyone insisted that this is how a shower had to be.

Hmmm....I guess I should make sure I have an outfit for Sunday and get a mainicure sometime in the next two days!

Now if only I can keep my mouth shut for the next two days and not let on that I know anything. Did anyone else pretend they didn't know about their shower after the surprise was ruined?

My surprise has been ruined, too. A friend of mine called me last weekend to chat and before I realized that she was talking about my shower (and not my bachelorette party) she gave away a lot of details INCLUDING the date!! I am bummed b/c I really wanted to be surprised. I've only told my best friend that I know about it. I don't want to ruin it for my mom and sisters becuase they were all very careful in not slipping about anything (any my family is infamous for doing so)!!!

Edited to add, that I will act surprised when I walk in!!!

Thanks....it makes me feel better to know I am not the only one!

i know my mom and bms will want to keep it a secret......i can actually see 2 of them giving death threats to people not to slip .....but if i ifnd out i will probably look surprised (but fabulous!)
