I am looking to book my wedding. My fiance and I went to the Swan Club and the price for a Saturday in the summer is amazing. However, I can't find any reviews on the internet. Has anyone gotten married there or went to a wedding there? It would really help. All good and bad please.
Thank you so much!

Re: The Swan Club
The swan club is sooo nice!!! I went there back in Sept. for my friends wedding and It was terrific. The service and food were out of this world! The only complaint i have is that the room they had it in really wasnt meant to hold that many people. it was a little squishy lol other than that, the grounds are beautiful and everything went perfect
you should post this on the 08 boards and the 07 boards for past brides experiences

Thanks. I will definately re-post it. I am new at this and there is so much to think about. I heard the food was okay, which was my biggest concern. Im happy you said it was good!

I went to 4 weddings in the last year and I have to say i think they had the best food...and I went to all different types of reception halls..my fiance agrees too
Can you do a tasting before booking? have you looked anywhere else?

Re: The Swan Club
We actually looked at the north ritz club, fox hollow, westbury manor, and windows on the lake. I wanted to see thatched cottage but my fiance really liked the swan club and westbury monor. However, Westbury manor doesn't do a Saturday or Sunday evening ceremony.
Michael from Swan Club did tell us we could come in for a free lunch but we dont get out of work that early.

You can also go to their next showcase and you can taste the food then. I booked back in August based on worth of mouth that the food was good....I went to showcase in January and tasted the food and it was good. I am booked at the Swan Club so I am not bashing it, but the bathrooms are small on the first floor and do not believe what they say about the amount of people fitting in each room, if you fill it to the amount they tell you it is tight. for example, for the Camelot room you have to guarantee 165 but they say it holds 230. I've heard to make sure you don't haev more than 200
Good luck.

That is good to know. We were going to invite 180-200. I am hoping that about 20 people say they cant come. I am not sure when the next bridal showcase is. I guess it will be in the spring. Did you book any of their vendors or did you use others. Also, did you decide to do chair coers because they are not included in the camelot room?

I am getting chair covers, although I haven't ordered them yet. I really really want them but I might be out of a job, so I'm sort of waiting to see what happens before I commit to things that I'd like but aren't necessary.
The last showcase was listed on their website, but I don't see one now. Just keep checking their site.
