The Swan Club Brides!!

Hi Everyone!

I was just wondering if everyone has been happy with their experience at the Swan Club?

My FH and I are currently leaning towards there after seeing about 10 venues in the last 10 days(!)

I love the grounds and everything I have read about the food has been phenomenal. It was also the lowest quote we have seen per person for a Friday next summer! We are looking at the Garden Room if that helps (middle capacity and the greenhouse-looking CH)

Some of the things I was curious about were -
Were the other events going on an issue or did they keep the parties pretty separate?
The Bridal Suite is so small! How did you fit anyone aside from just the bride and groom?
And a side note - where did you book your block of hotel rooms?

I also loved the Riviera but was a little concerned with some of the reviews I had read and didn't want to be worrying the entire night about whether they were true or not. I also absolutely loved the cottage at east wind but they were booked for every Friday and Saturday night of next summer!

Thanks so much!!

The Swan Club Brides!! - Long Island Weddings

I loved the Swan Club. It was our #1 until we found out the room we wanted was booked for our ideal date. We really didn't want to change dates at all. The Riviera was nice too, and less expensive than the SC, but I didn't like the dark wood in the reception hall. And our wedding would be indoors so there would have to be a room change while we were there.

I agree that the SC bridal suites are small. And the Garden Room is the only one that has it's own bathroom. The Contessa Room and the Camelot Room each have to share the rest rooms in the lobby.

That aside, I still would have gone with the SC. The grounds are that gorgeous.

We're getting married at The Metropolitan, not too far from the Swan Club. We booked our rooms at the Red Roof Inn in Westbury. We didn't need extravagance, and wanted to be mindful of our OOT guests' finances. We got ours for $110/night with a 10 room block.

The Swan Club Brides!! - Long Island Weddings

I'm booked in the Garden Room at the Swan Club. My FH and I looked at 8 other venues before we went back to the Swan Club. We loved their customer service and it had a homely feel to it. Our wedding is on a Thursday so not sure about the other parties going on. But from reviews I've read I heard they were really not a problem.

Another reason we liked the Garden Room is because it had it's on bathroom so that we didn't have to share with other parties. Also we went for the tasting and we enjoyed the food.

Which Bridal Suite did they show you? The one upstairs or the one near the ceremony space outside?

So far with meeting our BM, we are happy so far with the Swan club. To be honest, any venue you pick will not be 100% great but you have to decide and weigh your options based on the pros and cons of the venue you decide on.

Overall, I say go with the Swan Club. Like Jenandivan mentioned above the grounds are beautiful and if the bridal suite size doesn't bother you too much. The one they showed me near the ceremony space seemed a little bigger than the one upstairs. ;o)
