The Swan Club (pics) & story (kinda long)
Hello Ladies,
This is for all my fellow Swannies and for those still looking for a venue.
Some of you know my story already, I had to change my date due to some health issues I had to deal with, so orginally my wedding was to be this Sunday May 8, then we changed it to Sept 18. My health issues took much longer than expected and I wanted to change my date again.
It took two weeks and lots of haggling back and forth, but finally we were able to resolve everything with them, and even though we did lose some money we didn't lose all of what we had paid to them.
Yesterday afternoon, I went to visit the Swan Club and finalize our new arrangements and sign a new contract with them. When we orginally went to book with them we went in March 2004, while it was pretty, it was bare and mostly brown since nothing had begun to bloom, I went with the Swan Club mostly on pictures I had seen and the fact, that two of my cousins and one of FH's cousins were married there and gave rave reviews.
Sooo yesterday as we drove up to Swan Club I sorta had a blah feeling about it since we went through so much with them over this changing of the date thing. But once I walked in and took another tour of their garden area with the water views I was over come with a sense of relief, their grounds are beautiful and they even re-painted the outside so everything looks crisp and clean. I met with our new BM, Dan and he was WONDERFUL!!
With all our issues about changing the date, I was worried we wouldn't get the same service or have the same happy feelings as we had when we first booked with them. I am happy to say I have all those feelings back and then some, when I tell you I was surrounded by a sea of tulips in every color and variety I am not exagerrating.
So if your looking for a place that has a garden feel and a water feel, this is the place and the prices are very affordable. And if your a Swannie, ladies we have nothing to worry about!!!!
Thanks for listening and enjoy the pics...
