I know exactly what you mean!!! I have such an urge to buy the unity candle, do the menu cards, place cards etc but it's not needed at this time. ugh!
I can't wait to get going with things!! Luckily I am DIY my invitations and have a lot of work to do on them and the envelope liners so that should keep my busy for a while!

I'm with you, not sure how many place cards I will need, or frames for table names/numbers, or if we're even going to do a unity candle....

I know I hear ya! I am trying to get all of the DIY projects done that I can ( and I have a lot!!) now so I am not stressing. I have been collecting things I need like the favor bags. I figure if I get as much done as I can now I wont be stressed to get things done closer to the date.
