BOTH are wonderfuls....I have seen photos and albums of both studios! Do a search--a lot of both of this site! Go visit them both if you haven't and see what feels right to you.
We used Velvet so I am a bit partial I don't think you could go wrong with either though
i heard more reviews on velvet-check on brides reviews- i'm thinking that i will be using them- i've heard only amazing things about bob from velvet. I heard imagine was good also but they are a little far for me to get to thats why i never really made an appointment with them.

Judging from the photos I've seen on this site, definitely Imagine. If I could've budgeted them in, I would have!
MissingTheBGene has some of my favorite photos ever!
jeanla4c is my sister and I loved her pictures so I HAD to book them. Plus, Bob is great to work with!

You really can't go wrong with either photographer!
We used The Velvet Studio and it was actually the only photographer we looked at!! We just clicked with Bob, loved his work and what he had to offer... very unique albums! He has been amazing to work with before, during and now after the wedding.
I have seen work from Imagine and it's amazing!
Definitely meet with both and see who you click with more.
I don't know anything about Velvet, but I can tell you that if I could have convinced the FH to spend more money....I would have went with Imagine.

VELVET STUDIOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bob is awesome and worked so well with our budget ....I also saw a lot of his work on here and it's awesome.

I think you would do well with either choice. I opted for Imagine because I really loved Lia and found myself oogling over EVERY photo in their books. Like the other gals said, if you look at CaMacho and MissingtheBGene's photos you can compare. Both had exceptional proofs. If its hard to decide, maybe go with the personality you liked best and felt most comfortable with.

We booked Imagine Studios, their work is beautiful!!! I have also heard great things about Velvet Studio, I guess it comes down to personal preference Good luck!

I feel smaller companies take more pride in their work because they are the sole workers. I also loved Lia and Nelson. THey made my fiance and I so comfortable. Look at both places. Find out which place you feel more comfortable with. Good Luck!

Interesting comments about why you chose Imagine considering Velvet is also a husband and wife team.
I booked Velvet. I got the price list from Imagine and they were so far OUT of my budget I never met with them. We met with 6 other photographers before meeting with Bob. His personality and his love of his craft completely won us over in addition to the quality of his photographers. It was CaMacho's e-pics that got us there in the first place. I thought they were amazing and wanted to meet with the photographer that took them. Looking at her wedding photos (as well as our own e-pics) I know we are going to have amazing photos of our day.
That said, all the girls are right when they say meet with both and choose which one YOU and your FH feel most comfortable with.
