The Wedding Center

Hey ladies! I saw The Wedding Center yesterday at the Bridal Expo and they seemed extremely nice- I enjoyed talking to them. I am so confused as to how they do everything at such a low cost. Does anyone have any experience with them? Please feel free to FM me if you don't want to write it on here. Thanks!! :)

I know there are a lot of mixed reviews and everyone will have a different experience so I can only speak of mine. I went there because they had the sample of the dresses I wanted to try on. I walk in close to closing the woman helped me put the dresses on. I must of tried the first dress like 4/5 times because I would compare it to each. I left 100 dollar tracking because they will track the dress to see if its discontinuing soon because I hadn't made up my mind because I still had an another dress from davids bridal. I f. I decided to go back with my BM same thing more than helpful same woman to . When I finally decided on the dress I called the store the woman remembered me I told her I couldn't make it in she had my measurements but I went with a size smaller then I paid with my card over the phone she faxed everything to me at work I signed and faxed back. I got a call two day later if the expected delivery date but came in two months sooner they called me at work because my cell changed went picked it up same woman no problem she even helped me try it on again and I saved 250 over other stores I called.... sorry so long hope it helps can't speak for alterations. I wish I had gotten my bridesmaid dresses there but I had gone somewhere else.

I went there with my mom on Saturday for her MOB dress. They were excellent.

Although I was nervous about using the Wedding Center due to very mixed reviews (more bad than good), FH and I visited them and had a pretty good experience. They were short handed, so we had to wait a little while, but the sales rep was very accomodating to our needs, and he was very nice. We ended up signing a contract with them for a package that included photography, video, invitations and limo for under $3000! I don't know how they do it, but they do!

Re: The Wedding Center

I just went there yesterday looking for bridesmaids dresses. The whole place reminds me of a bridal Marshalls/TJMax. They don't have the newer designs of dresses etc but what they do have is close enough to current and much cheaper than other places and they offer to beat other prices. Unfortunately I didn't find a dress there but I'd be willing to give them a try for invitations. I know someone who bought her wedding dress and BM dresses there and had a great experience.

I too have heard mixed reviews. I have had to order bm dresses for a few weddings I have been in and fh has gotten a tux for a wedding he was in and we have always had a great experience. But never dealt with them for wedding dress.

I saw them at the expo as well. I liked them when I spoke to them but after seeing the 'runway show' they put on, I was completely turned off. I was actually going to cancel some appts. and go to them instead, but after that show I looked at my mom and we both said... NO WAY!. I thought everything looked similar to Estelles/Davids bridal as far as quality went, which is totally fine, but I wouldn't go their expecting something like Lazaro quality stuff. I liked one of the dresses they had on display but looked closer and saw alot of flaws. It was a lace corset style back that laces up, the lacing went well beyond the bootie area and noticed there was no lining inside, so if it should come loose at all during the wedding... your butt may wind up exposed! CRAZY. ANyway I guess its worth a look... but I am keeping all my original appointments. I was not impressed with their show at all. It was unprofessional and they should have hired a couple of models for the day. i am sorry but how do you put a 50+ year old in a wedding dress for a show??? WEIRD

I personally had a terrible experience there. I would never reccomend them to anyone.

I feel sorta bad to say it... but someone had to!! I MEAN REALLY??? Majority of the audience are 20-30-somethings looking for a wedding gown. Its kinda hard to put yourself in the shoes of a 50+ year old model!! It was bizarre, I felt weird even looking!!

I would say def use them if you know exactly what you want going in. I saw a Jordan BM dress at bridal reflections... priced it with the wedding center and got it for about 30 dollars cheaper each dress.... all the dresses arrived early etc.

I would say go somewhere else to find what you want with your bms and enjoy the bridal salon experience and then price whatever you find with wedding center.. they have the same stuff but beat the price.

I dont know about alterations.. havent heard the best things.. my girls are having it done elsewhere.

I KNOW!!! That was really bad and unfair that she won. Had he pulled a name out of a hat in front of us, maybe it would be more acceptable... but the names were all pre-written for him to announce... what were they thinking??? Why would an employee be allowed to enter in the first place??

I was really unhappy with their presentation and overall handling of the show. I own a small business would NEVER do about 90% of the things they did. Like I said, I was almost sold on going there when speaking to them at the booth... but after that show I was completely turned off!! On top of it... everything was wrinkled and ill fitting adding to the unattractiveness as a whole. I think they need a 'planner'.

Good Luck! We went there to talk to someone & the owner told us to wait 10 mins- Well an hour later he came back over to ask us to schedule an appointment. They are very nice at the show, different story when they get you in the door.

Believe me... you didn't want to win the cruise. I did.... and in the package it clearly states all the charges you would have to pay. Turns out it would cost more for the 'free' cruise than if I were to go on the Carnival website.

Somehow... I am NOT surprised. I feel so bad that you wound up with nothing in the end. To get your hopes up and then find out you have to pay all that money sucks!!

I was also wondering what the 'free dress' options were. He said anything with a yellow sticker OR if you don't think them, then he will give a 300.00 credit... so I am assuming the yellow sticker dresses are probably 300.00???

It was truly a major letdown.

Re: The Wedding Center

On the contrary if you ever win a free gown from David's bridal, it is totally legit. ANY gown in the store, plus size si fine, special order is fine.
