I keep posting about JA & Company DJ's. Apparently nobody knows them. Has anyone dealt with The Wedding Plaza? They are part of that.

If you mean the Wedding Center, I got my dress there. So far I am pretty happy. I've heard horror stories, though. However, their prices are reasonable.

Re: The Wedding Plaza Commack-Any negatives?
I plan to go out there and shop for my dress. This last Monday (7/21/03) I went to a bridal show and the owner of the Wedding Center was there.
My GOD what an annoying man. He was like a used car sales man. The prices seemed reasonable though and they gave out $50 coupons there.
I hear he has a discontinued store there as well where discontinued dresses are half off. I plan to head out there hopefully this weekend. So we shall see.
OH, ps..... if you have a magazine with you and your dress is shown, you can call them up - give them the name of the Mag & Page number and they'll quote over the phone.

Let me Help you out The Wedding Center of Commack is a complete center that sells dresses Etc. and they never get very good reviews not that I have had personal dealings with them just what I have read on the Knot and here. The Wedding Plaza has 4 locations and they just did my Photo, video, disc jockey an it was wonderful My Photographer was ozzie and my Disc Jockey was Andy and my video person was Eddie They made a great team. I booked there Ultimate wedding package and besides getting a great deal I recieved quality work. Good luck they were great to deal with www.arianastudios.com

Ughhh...that is one annoying man!!! He's the one that said he rents out his granddaugheter for $100 to be a flower girl!!!
I went to that place a year ago with my friend when she was getting married, and to me, it reminded me of a bargain basement type place.

Re: The Wedding Plaza Commack-Any negatives?
Ok I went and I'm back..
The ladies there all know 'Bob the owner' i told them point blank that his high sales attitude was a real bummer. They all sighed, laughed and agreed.
Anyway, here's my story. I needed sleeves. Not seethrough, not laced, pure real sleeves, but I wanted off the shoulder. That is tough. Josephine is the lady who helped me. Big time winner. She says pick any dress, we'll take extra material, like a shawl, and drap it around and sew it on as sleeves. Oh my god, that opened my eyes to everything. I found the Perfect gown. I am so happy I cant tell you. She was open minded when she saw my tattoo on my arm (I got it after I survived 9/11 and I'm not about to cover it). Barbara (the offical bridal guru) answered all my tough questions.
Yes, it was like a thift store, but they really when far to help me out. I tried on about 8 gowns to finally get all my elements together. Josephine listened to me and kept narrowing it down till it was perfect.
Took Fiance with me. He purused the tuxes, rings and other stuff so we sent him to the Baskin Robbins across the street.
