Re: The wedding salon
I didn't really love it there... First, they were having a trunk show and kept making me try on those dresses when 1. i didn't like them and 2. they were WAY over my budget... Second, I thanked the woman that helped me, made another appointment and as I was leaving, I said 'Thanks for all your help.. I had such a great day!' She then said to me 'It would have been better if you bought something'... definitely implying that I didn't help her sales numbers.
Needless to say, I didn't go back.

I worked with Christiana there and she was great.
ETA: I didn't buy my gown there, but if I went for a Kenneth Pool that I loved, I would have bought it there.
I wound up buying an Eve of Milady gown from Bridal Reflections in Carle Place.

I went there and the service was great, they do really try to get you to buy something on the spot though. I dealt w/ the manager and found a KP dress that I love and will prob end up buying. Their also having a trunk show on 10/16 and 10/17

I went there with my BM last year - service was okay, we had to wait. The selection was ok too... nothing to rave about.

Re: The wedding salon
the older woman is mary ... i dont recommend her!
but i DO recommend the wedding salon of manhasset! they have dresses well over 10k but you can certainly find dresses in the 2k range. they will also pool anything from next door from vera wang if its what youre looking for.
great customer service and really beautiful dresses! they ordered a dress for me to try from a new line and didnt charge me like other salons do. the manager is amazing!
go go go!

Re: The wedding salon
im so shocked by the comments
It was actually the only store I went to that didn't pressure me to buy anything.
I was with my lady for over an hour. I worked with Noreen. She never once made me feel like I had to buy.
I didn't buy on my 1st or 2nd visit and never felt that way. I put a payment down on my 3rd visit.
When I told them I canceled my RH, they put my order on hold and told me if I changed my mind about dress I could use it for anything else in the store in the future, if needed.
I guess experience depends on your sales lady.
If you can request someone, def request Noreen. She is the sweetest lady ever!

Re: The wedding salon
I had a great experience there as well. It was the one and only place I went. Mary was actually my consultant and I had a great experience with her. I found her to be really helpful and I didn't feel rushed at all. I was there for over 2 hrs and tried on tons of dresses.
Good luck tomorrow!

Re: The wedding salon
mary has been a consultant there for over 9 years if i remember correctly. she wasnt the one for me per se but the dress was that the manager had helped me find on my first day of shopping. no pressure at all to buy ...
mary did try and pressure me into getting the veil the day of but i wasnt ready for that ha ha! especially at 1600k for just the veil! no thanks!
but i am super excited about my dress purchase! they sent me a swatch and everything!
