Apply abreva to your lips... I know it sounds crazy BUT I am prone to cold sores and my dentist told me to do this... he actually told me two weeks before but those of you not prone... One!

Also, you can ask your doctor for a prescription for Herpes medication (I forgot the name of it right now). If you feel your lip tingly, you pop one of those bad boys and it prevents a 'breakout'.

FH gets them sometimes, especially when he is stressed (and approaching wedding will definitely mean stress!)... he is going to have his mom get him a prescription of Valtrex 2-3 weeks before the wedding!

I get them once in awhile... but my huge problem is Canker Sores!!! UGH
I think it's because of my bc pill and now I'm off of them until a couple months before the wedding... so this should be interesting.
Good to know about the abreva for the cold sores though....
L Lysine is great... it's just a supplement that prevents outbreaks
