The Woodlands

I was in a wedding which took place at the Woodlands this past New Year's Eve. In the Bridal Party Suite the Woodlands was serving canned beer. The wedding went from 7pm to 1am....starting around 10:30pm they again started serving canned beer. According to the contract, it was supposed to be bottles only.

I have since heard that the Woodlands said that due to the NYE crowd, more bottles were consumed than expected....but that still doesn't explain why cans were in the Bridal Suite before the actual reception even started.

Personally I didn't have a problem with it but several people at the wedding thought it was tacky.

Has anyone else been to a wedding at the Woodlands where this happend?

My friend is looking at the Woodlands for her wedding....I do not want to discourage her on the basis of the one wedding I went to there.

I was also in a BP at the Woodlands - no canned beer was served! That is a little tacky!

Small world! I wasn't there but friends of mine were and said it was such a fun wedding - dancing all night til 2am somewhere!

I guess things happen...

In the grand scheme of things it is not that bad. At least they didn't run out of food!
