The X-Files

Before I met FH, I was in a 5 year relationship where the jerk cheated on me. It really destroyed me at the time. We're not talking one night stand cheating (not that that would be any better!) But a full on 'relationship' with someone else he worked with and she knew about me. In any case, after I ended it with him he started contacting me a lot about how he made a mistake, he missed me, etc. I ignored. Every birthday and holiday, I get a text. I ignore. You would think after years of ignoring, he would get the hint! Well, he sends me a text saying, 'I heard you are engaged. Congrats. I'm happy for you. I miss you but I hope you are happy.' I had no intentions on responding, but I couldn't resist. I finally gave in and wrote back with, 'Thanks. I'm very happy. Cheating on me was the best thing you ever did for me!'

I know it was harsh, but do I care??? Lol

That is a great response. I got a text from an ex after I posted I wad engaged on facebook. Funny how they realize what they lost when they can't have you. I showed Andy the text. I was lke I guess you made him jealous

I'm not inviting any ex's... however my friend did have her daughters father at her wedding... I guess it depends on the relationship

Great response... I know this sounds mean, but I hope this hurt him as much as it hurt you when you found out he cheated!!!!

I hate cheaters too!

I hope it hurt him too! For soooooo long I've always taken the high road even though I wanted to do something mean to him right after I found out. I would always say 'you're better than that', but it was hard to always ignore after what he did. I do believe it truly bothers him that I have moved on. So between that and my comment, I think I got a little revenge. Lol All he responded after I said that was 'OK' LOL. I feel kinda proud of myself! LOL
