Theme bridal shower help----PLEASE!!

So, my friends' mother (who is in her 50's) is getting married in two weeks and we want to give her a bridal shower (small --about 15 ladies). She loves hats and we want to do something around that theme, but not a tea party. We are going to ask everyone to bring a extravagant hat, but besides that we don't know what else to do and give as give-aways. We were thinking maybe shoes and purses (miniature), but how to decorate etc....

I know you guys are great with ideas and I was wondering if you could help us

what about a cocktail party with either a 20s or 50s theme?

20s you could do martinis and finger foods

50s you can do highballs and maybe a casserole, lol.

Decor depends on the era

I would do a mini champagne bottle as a give away bc I like clutter free gifts - drink and toss :)

You could also keep it simple with a luncheon instead of a tea party, maybe give a cone of daisies as a favor. If you do a luncheon id keep the decor simple with an extravagant floral centerpiece and leave it at that
