Therapists who appear on TV and Radio

personally, i like dr. phil and i watch his show all the time.
i dont' believe everything he says...and i dont' think he always gives the best advice...but i like that he's so open and honest with people. and that he tells them that he doesn't expect any 15 minute cures.....but he does make a lot of people think about themselves and their lives, which i think is important. he makes some good points....
and he makes me laugh

I think there are benefits to them...as they get people to thinl and evaluate certain aspects of their lives...i.e I think Dr Phils weight loss plan will really benefit many people b/c of his popularity and the popularity of the Today show...


however there is a lot more involved than 60 min...most of the time less...


while therapy should not last a lifetime...there needs to be some stress on the fact that solutions are not instantanious
