As a videographer only doing raw footage of the ceremony...
I really didn't think I was asking for something so hard to find. It amazes me....
Is it crazy to ask a guest to hold a video camera during the walks down the aisle through the end of the ceremony? Maybe my boss would do it - he has a great sense of humor and agrees with my feelings on the 'movie' videos and the prices these people want....

Have you tried velvet studio?
I'm getting an edited version too, but a little less traditional! I'm just having one song play throughout, and the video will just highlight the important moments. We're also getting a DVD with the raw footage as well. Try velvet studio, maybe they can just do the raw footage for you!
Good luck

Re: There is really no such thing...
THATS EXACTLY WHY I HAVE PROLONGED MY FINAL DECISION FOR A VIDEOGRAPHER ..DUE TO THESE OUTRAGEOUS PRICES
I'm using In Sync Video. They are a vendor on here. I don't want anything fancy. Just footage and chaptered. I want chaptered so I don't have to fast foward through things to get to where I want . But they weren't pricey at all. I am getting it for $1095.00

Honestly, for what you want, my vote is for having a guest do it w/ a good quality recorder on a tripod. You have FM

I did this for my ex's sister at her wedding a few years ago and they really were impressed by it (I had never held a video camera before). So I am sure you could ask one of your guests to do it and they would be honored. Just buy the camera!

Duet gives an edited version and then you also get all the raw footage....we were mainly interested in the raw footage so we double checked.
