There were showers outside and inside!! (with pics & a surprise)
So today after much drama, tears and BS, I finally had my shower. It was a small group, maybe 20 people, but I still felt the love from everyone. I must say I am still not used to being the center of attention like that!! I have to get used to the flashes of cameras going off like paparazzi!!
I managed to escape without being put through the hat of bows, and instead had a bo-k of bows. I also escaped having a bridal gown of toilet paper made onto me!!
Andrew and I were grateful for the utter generosity of everyone, including some people that were not even that close to us!!
To my 06 girls (and Ron): You guys shocked me the most of all. I think my reaction (caught on videotape by Darlene) pretty much said it all. I was stunned beyond words. Rarely can anyone catch me speechless, and you guys pulled it off. I am still stunned by all of your extreme generosity, and I will never forget that. You all have very lucky men, and I can only hope to repay this tremendous debt tenfold!!! If you guys ever need me for anything, you know where to reach me. Thank you all a million times over!!!!!
Side note to Ron: I forgive you for going in and deleting my incoming FMs, but you did miss about 4 or 5 of them!!! What can I say?? That was really amazing of you to help them out. Can't wait to see you and Liz on the 30th so I can give you guys a hug!!!

Janna, it was our pleasure to be able to provide you with the gift you deserve to have. On the way over to the shower, we were talking about how great it would feel to give back to you the generosity you have shown each of us. I for one will NEVER forget how you, as a virtually new friend, stepped up to the plate when my mom was not able to come to my first dress fitting. There you were as a second set of eyes, and like a sister, offered help with your presence when I needed it the most. We want you and Andrew, two very special people, to remember the good things in life each time you look at this gift on each anniversary you have with each other. Like your ADORABLE mother said, may you have a long and wonderful marriage...OH and change some 'N/A' information on your profile so people know who you are using!!!!

Janna you are a remarkable woman who oftentimes gives so unselfishly of herself to others. I will be calling tomorrow before we head to meet with the DJ. We have to meet Frank at 6:30, so I'll probably call Ray in the afternoon. I am still stunned, although I think some of the guests are still wondering what the hell I was crying and speechless about!!! I was surprised my mom figured it out!! (she was the one that I looked exactly alike....)

On a side note:
When we stopped by my parents afterwards to pick up left over gifts, I was rearranging the gifts in the car and I caught my dad looking over at me and smiling. All of a sudden, I was 10 years old again. It was good to see my dad smiling and happy for me. I know how much he just wanted everything to go right for once and for me to be happy.
BTW for those that are thoroughly confused right now, I promise I will explain it all in my review!!!! (Actually the answer is on page 2!)

I can honestly say that until that moment, I was terrified that someone (your dad - who knew, or Andrew - who also knew) had blown the surprise and told you what we were up to.
BTW - you do realize the whole planning your bachelorette party was just a cover for this, so I could get Andrew's approval????

I wasn't asking you - YOU brought it up. I was pretending to be exasperated with you bugging Andrew about the whole thing already!! My fellow conspirators were having a heart attack during that entire exchange!!! They even asked how I managed to stay that calm and casual!!!! And yes, when you were getting those quotes, I was praying that they would all be too high for you. And as for why I had one with me . . . if you're going the amateur route . . . I needed to practice!!

Janna - you are one amazing individual and I am SO happy we were able to be there for your shower. You have continuously gone above and beyond for each of us who was there today. When I was going through all the drama a few months ago with my family and date changes, you listened to all my crying and offered support. That shows the special kind of individual you are. When you and Andrew look at your wedding memories, I know you will remember all of the love you two have for each other now...because you'll be able to see it! Seriously, thank you for allowing us to share in your special day. Can't wait for the Wedding!!!

Janna - Congrats on the shower!! I'm glad that everything went off just as spectacularly as Darlene was describing to me before you arrived at a GTG. Why do you think I was telling you at Houlihan's to trust Darlene - she wanted to make today as special as can be and I think she and the rest of the LIW brides who were behind this pulled it off magically!! Congrats Janna!!!
