Re: There's a flood in my car
Shop vac the water out, take out the floormats & hang them somewhere to dry. Run your heat as high as you can stand it and keep the windows open if you can.
Then you need to figure out where the water is coming in - you'll be best served doing this after the car has dried out. Get a second person, a garden hose and a flashlight...
Good luck!

Re: There's a flood in my car
You might try a U-wash car wash place or a gas station. I know they have the machines you can put quarters in....Chances are too that you know someone who has one - if they have a garage and are handy around the house, it's likely...

Re: There's a flood in my car
That happened to my DH TWICE now, first the day before our wedding (we just thought someone left the door slightly open) and last weekend....he is trying to get his car checked out...what kind of car do you have? He has a Passat and while doing research he found out it apparently happens with that type of car! GL!!!

I have a Grand Prix.
I just dumped kitty litter all over the passenger floor. I hope that helps absorb the water!

Hope the kitty litter comes up okay....I guess a floormat shampoo will do the job in any case...

Good point - that's a hard scent to find in the air freshener section!

Re: There's a flood in my car
this is happening to me now...no a flood but accumelated a very small puddle. The car is really old so i dont mind so much and i refuse to make a fix until this weather goes away. Maybe today once i get home i try to prevent rain from getting in... if you can, try to to close your windows 100%. Your car will become damp cause the water vapor has no where to go (this is why your windows will fog up when your not in it)

yup, windows were fogged up this morning and I was wondering why the steering wheel felt damp
anyway... lets hope this kitty litter thing works.
I have received so many FM's from folks saying this happened to them too. Thanks for making me feel not alone

well, yea...depending on how your car is layed out. some cars have an over hang while some dont.
u want fresh air to get to the car. if water sits in the car, this is how it gets nasty, moisture goes around and makes it feel humid in there which could effect your seats, plactics, etcc....
