Thanks!!! I told FH that if we had a cat we wouldn't have this problem. He's a dog person so I didn't get very far.

Oh no!! We had that problem they were getting in our house through the smallest holes. One day i was running ont he tredmil and saw one run right by!
we were told to use mouse traps with reeses peanut butter cups on them. when we got rid of them all my dad sealed up all the holes he could find
he also got these devices that plug into the wall and make a high pitched noice that we cant hear to keep them away (dont know if that works though)

If you think that's bad..you wouldn't believe what happened to me.
I went to empty the skimmer baskets in my pool and when I took the cover off there was a dead mouse floating in there!
I made FH fish it out. Now I'm freaked out to go in the pool. They carry all sorts of diseases. I'm gonna call the pool guy later and ask him what to do.

Ohhh- someone needs a kitty!!!
Look for any holes in walls or anything, even those light switch plates in corners. They can get through anything. Seal up all holes.
On the traps, it sounds gross, but they are really attracted to raw bacon. It wont even need to be down that long. Most people use peanut butter, but bacon works a lot better.
How do I know this?...my uncle is an exterminatior.
He likes to tell us these stories when he comes over to dinner...just when you want to hear bug and rodent stories ...lol

LOL, yeah the directions for the trap said use peanut butter but if that doesn't work I'll try the bacon. The traps been there for 4 hours now. I know mice are nocturnal so we prob. won't catch him until tonight. ICK!

Re: There's a mouse in the house!
My FH & I were at his upstate house about 2 weeks ago & I was sitting on the couch & I heard a little sweak next to me so I looked down & it was a mouse starring at me. I screamed so loud. We tried to get the mouse but no luck. So we went to sleep & all night I felt like the mouse was on me. The next morning at like 6:00 my FH woke up with a mouse turd on his pillow. How gross is that? So that night we slept in his truck & set up traps in the house. We ended up catching two mice.
