thermal reconditioning tomorrow!!

thermal reconditioning tomorrow!!

Ok girls so i'm going into the city tomorrow to get the thermal reconditioning process (straightening) done at Hayato. I'm a little nervous. I've had it done before, 3 years ago and it was nice (at a different place). The girl didn't have much experience and so i think it should have came out better, but it was good enough. He said my hair will be a little flat and i'm not sure what that means. I blow dry my hair straight and it usually is flat on the top, which is fine by me.

Well wish me luck and i'll let you know it comes out! (i hate not being able to wash my hair for 2 days)

My friend gets it done all the time at Hayato and her hair looks great all the time.

It will be a little flat for like the first 3 days, until you are allowed to wash it...

Good Luck!

Ok so i got it done today! All i have to say is... WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS SOONER???

I can't rave enough about Hayato!! They were great and quick (3 hours-they had 2 people doing my hair). Because my hair is so long, it was $300 and that included an awesome haircut.

P.S. for anyone who is going to do it... wear something light weight because it gets very hot with them ironing your hair.

I felt the same way after I contemplated it for 2 years!!! The best is when you wash your hair and just finger dry it!!!

Re: thermal reconditioning tomorrow!!

I know i am so excited. When Kenji was almost done with my hair and he was cutting it, it started to dry and it was drying STRAIGHT!!! I've always wanted to be one of those girls that could get out of the shower and go. And now i can!

Is it true that my hair won't be able to hold a curl? My wedding is in a year and i was just curious (i have no clue what i'm doing with my hair yet).

Not sure about the curl thing, I have not tried it yet. Sorry.

I had my hair straightened there also. and Kenji did it too!!! I love it. And let me tell you when i say it dries straight, it dries straight. I blow it about 5 minutes in the morning just to get the excess water out and it so straight. Im glad you had a great experience with them. My hair is so thick and long that it took them 5 hours to do it plus cut it, and they had two people working on my hair too!!!

I have been getting this done for years

and yes your hair will hold a curl-

I am having my hiar curled for my wedding and it stays until the next day- with the help of hair spray

enjoy

I am going to that salon next time- $300 is a steal!

Glad you like it! For those that don't want it pin straight but less curly, I relaxed mine at Cactus Salon in Plainview. Connie did my hair and I love it. I was too scared to do the JS. My hair was tight spiral curls and is now just wavy. So much easier to do in the morning!

Yeah it is a steal and that included a haircut. Out by me in East Hampton, its $800 dollars! Not in a million years would i spend that much on hair. Taking the jitney into the city was perfectly fine by me.
