I don't know how kids do it nowadays. I really don't.
As someone who used to be picked on in junior high pretty much relentlessly (myself and a few friends...I was a fattie with crazy colored hair, marched to the beat of a different drummer), I cannot imagine what it would have been like to not be able to escape it. Home was my sanctuary, along with my friends' homes. I can't fathom what it'd be like to turn on my computer or look at my cell phone and deal with it in my time away from the hellhole that was my school.
Lucky for me, I was able to escape and went to a school in the city where freedom of thought and expression was a large priority.
But these poor kids that need to stay with the same group of kids throughout junior high and high school...ugh. My heart aches for them.
/end rant.

Re: These stories lately about online bullying...
It;s so unbelievably sad. I completely agree. I am on the anti-bullying team for my school district and it really is amazing how the internet, texts, etc have contributed to the rise in bullying situations. SO awful!

Re: These stories lately about online bullying...
I have a teenage daughter..well she is freshman in college now..and I swear..I think kids have gotten meaner than when I was a kid.
It breaks my heart when I hear some of the stuff these kids go thru.
