I have 5 days left till the BIG DAY - and they've been pretty consistant about calling for rain. I know it's just one of those things out of my control, but still...

I know what you mean, I have been checking my date and the weather forecast looks like temps are dropping. Totally nothing we can do but Good Luck I will start praying for you too!

I did the same thing all week before my wedding. I would check it every hour. They said it was going to rain, sleet, hail, etc. on my wedding day... but it held through and didn't rain (i think it sprinkled once we were in the reception). just put it out of your mind!! (ok, try to, cause I wasn't good at doing that!).

even if it does rain, it could just be for a few minutes. It doesn't mean it will be the whole day. And SO much changes with the weather in 5 days... easier for me to say, but don't worry yet. (Although, I'm already freaking about what the weather almanac says for my wedding date! lol)

I don't trust any weather report until the day immediately before. The further out, the less reliable the forecast.
I have been to tons of weddings and do not remember rain being a factor in having a great time. Although my cousins insisted that it did rain on some of their weddings, I never remembered.
Besides, at the Vanderbilt, you have a ton of photo locations you can take advantage of without getting wet!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you all the same.

the one thing i didnt stress over was weather... that is one thing that you cant control... and yes it ended up pouring, raining and even hailing on my day last week, but there was nothing we could do about it, so we just had fun....

Rain is one thing you can't control, so don't even go there. Just think about those brides who got married in that terrific snowstorm this winter...Now that was something scary and to worry about. Have a wonderful day and enjoy every minute of it.

AND....I had my bridal shower in that infamous snow storm!!! HAHAHA....i think ive paid my dues!
