They are coming to take me away...

I'm ready for the funny farm. My wedding date is June 27, 2004. So far we have the church, reception, dress, photographer, and DJ.

I haven't looked at florists yet. My bridal party drove me crazy about their dresses. We recently decided on a bridesmaid dress and color.

My FI is nagging me about the videographer. My FMIL is stressing that I book Limos NOW. She says June is a busy month with proms and weddings going on.

FI's grandmother wants me to get a veil with beadwork so it hangs right even though I want something simple. The veil she picked out had Swaroski crystals and cost $2,000. I've decided to make mine out of toilet paper. FMIL is opposed to open toe shoes and the only thing my Mom is worried about is whether I'll fit into my dress. She keeps insisting I need a girdle!

Even my little sister is going wedding crazy. She's researching flower girl dresses on the internet and she's only 7 years old. Everytime I see her, she wants to know when I'm going to take her dress shopping!

WAHHHHHH. What should I attack first? Am I far behind? The way everyone is talking, you would think my wedding is next month!

LOL........At least you have a sense of humor about it. I had a fiasco myself. My very simple but beautiful planned wedding went from 50-300.
They may come take me too.
I any event you have plenty of time. But I'd have to say Gram's might be right about the Limo's. June is a busy month for that better safe then sorry.

:) Grandma is cute and I know she means well but she drove me crazy. She used to work in Veils for a department store. I didn't take her seriously about needing the beadwork until the saleswoman in Lestan's told me the same thing. I'm definately not going with the Swaroski crystals lining the veil though. I think maybe I can sprinkle some glitter on my TP veil....hmmm....

my date is june 26 2004. I have Photographer Videographer Hall and Church!!! trust me u are way ahead of me. althogh it is prom/graduation weekend but proms are usually during the week before and graduation is that day but who uses all that stuff for graduation????? Remember this is ur day and it goes the way u want it. Just yes them to death.... Thats what I do!!!

I have to agree with the limo situation also. I know that it is prom season and my cousin had a hard time finding a limo. The proms pay alot more money then weddings because they need them for longer hours. Check out Serenity, their number is 631-929-8888. They are the house vendor at the East Wind and they gave me the best price. Also with your veil, go with what you want it is your wedding.

dont worry you are putting me to shame. I am getting married the day before you and all I have is the hall and church....Dont worry and dont let everyone stress you out.
I know numerous couples who booked their video people a week or 2 before the wedding. And yes June is busy with prom season for the limos, but how many hs senior book their limo for prom the first month of school!
Enjoy your engagment, dont let people make you nuts! we are taking one task at a time....this month is photographer (we are behind but what the heck) and next months is DJ....and so on!

bridget&jimmy, you mentioned that limos are more expensive for proms than weddings because they are needed for longer periods of time. Do limo companies just drive you to the church and and reception and then leave? Thanks for the infomation about that company. I didn't know where to start for limos!

First of all, I love that song. Second of all, we share a wedding date. Don't worry, I don't have much more done than you and now that school has started again, I have no time for anything. We have plenty of time - after all, women conceive and give birth in 9 months - we can surely plan our weddings! Just take a deep breath, and smile and nod at everyone's opinions, keeping what you want in the forefront.
