What happened with the scheffield incident...I heard something briefly about a fan interfering???
I'm not a yankee fan. I like the redsox, i'm not a fan or anything I just like the team but the fans are disgusting...can't they go to a game without causing drama??? what is wrong with these people?
They just don't know how to behave...I really don't like the boston fans...they are a crazy bunch of people.

basically, a fan put his hand out to try to get a ball that was in play, and in the process smacked sheffield across the face, so sheffield hit him back.
A security guard rushed and stopped it before it escalated.

Re: They are killing me
The Yanks need to seriously step up and not play like a bunch of flippin' pansys. They are getting owned by the Sox bigtime.
The Sox no longer fear the Yanks... and its really turning more into a mental game than anything else.
This is why I am glad the Mets have somebody like Pedro... who will not think twice about drilling somebody in retaliation of their star players getting constantly beaned.
The Sheff incident i think was blown a little out of proportion. Sheff says the fan smacked him in the face. I don't really think he got hit hard at all... if he got hit period. Sheff said he thought his lip was busted . The fan definitely took a swipe at him, but I think it was more to distract him than anything else.
The funnier thing about the whole incident was the guy sitting behind the two women who threw the beer at Sheffield. He tried to do it so discreetly... pretending to take a sip waiting for Sheff and then tossing it and falling back, pretending that he got knocked into. That was actually kind of funny.

I'll also give credit where credit is due though. Sheff did do a great job of keeping his composure even though he did initially shove the fan.
Could have been Ron Artest all over again like Sheff mentioned in the post game interview.

I never thought I would say this, but I agree with everything you said. The Sox don't fear the Yankees and if the Yankees have any chance of winning the division they better SWEEP the sox the next time they play them. And a Yankee pitcher better knock down a Sox player they next time they meet. This is getting f'in out of control.
As far as Sheff goes, I think the fan was trying to interfere and hit him in the process. But Sheff didn't know what was happening and he reacted. Not an awful reaction, but of course it will get attention.
