They got me GOOD!!! It poured on Saturday!! w. PICS!!
Finally it poured! I had been teasing my sister saying all the May LIW brides had their shower already so she was a slacker![]()
...but it was WELL worth the wait!!
My sis told me we were going to a charity wine tasting in Harlem. (everyone said the way to get me out is to have it involve wine) To fool me she even made up a fake poster that she sent by email and offered to give me a paypal link to pay my 'donation'![]()
. She 'happened' to suggest stopping by my possible make up artist on the way who offered out of the blue to do my makeup just for kicks ![]()
So we're finally on our way and pulling up to the place...except her flier had said were going to BatonRouge restaurant and we were at The River Room of Harlem in Riverside Park...goregeous but wrong...so I start going off about how she's lost, its supposed to be in a brownstone etc. So she convinces me to go in saying one of the coordinators wanted her to pick up a case of wine first.
We walk to the back and there is a birthday party going on so I assume all the rooms and the people are for that. My sis pulls back the final room divider/curtain and I see people but it doesn't register...then I see one of my BM from Jersey and it all clicked....then I see my other from VIRGINIA...I freaked out!!! haha
My sis did a great job, the decor, location, games it all was great! We had dani-ritas and dani-tinis (potent) I'll post better pics when I get them but I don't have my reaction b/c these are from my sis who was behind me when I walked in. I saw a reaction pic and you could fit a Big Mac in how far my jaw dropped. We got so much stuff (Mom got all my china!!) ..i'm so proud of my lil sis!!
