They were soooo cute!
FH and I went over to see his closest female friend to ask her to be a bridesmaid. We also asked her daughter and son to be one of our flower girls and one of our ring bearers. The kids were just in a wedding two months ago so they knew what they had to do.
We bought the kids little books called '10 Neat Things About Being a Flower Girl' and '10 Cool Things About being a Ring Bearer.' The little boy is about 4 and a budding reader so he's flipping through the pages. The little girl just turned 2 and says to her mom that she needed her flowers. So she goes and gets her basket from the other wedding filled with silk petals and starts practicing by walking and tossing petals. Apparently she used this method to practice before. Well the father of the kids tells the boy to help him pick up the petals and he said that was '...her job to do because SHE was the flower girl'.
This was a great choice!
