Things are beginning to look up. With BM UPDATE....

Sooo...
my mother is getting a new dress to walk me down the aisle in and for pictures.

My grandmother is still the same. ugh.

BUT I talked to the BM who was planning on getting married the day of my wedding. I'm not the type of person who can hide being angry. I'm just cold when I'm upset with you. She texted me to ask if I was upset with her. My response was this 'that depends on your answer to this question, are you getting married on my wedding day?'
So that opened the door. She told me a bunch of stuff and she isn't getting married on the day of my wedding anymore. She also moved her engagement party from the day after my wedding to thanksgiving weekend.
She said she didn't feel right about it and her fiance was trying to talk her into it. She was enticed by it.... but she ultimately knew it was wrong. she also knew that if she did that she would very much risk losing my friendship because of her track record with the engagement party and the met game outing that she failed to show for. So she decided against it by the time I found out.
I'm still glad I found out about it. I'm glad I know everything. I won't forget it.... but I can move passed it for now. I've got my eye on her. She did seem sincere.

i'm glad things kind of worked out for you.. I couldn't forget it either and you shouldn't try. A friend should have put her foot down right away when her FH suggested getting married the same day. Would she want you to do that? i don't think so... You will enjoy your day no matter what but don't let things like this make you upset. Watch what you say to her in the future and lets hope she makes good on her promise.. Congrats on your wedding and i hope it all works out....

On the mother front, I'm glad that she's getting a new dress. Does she still intend on wearing it for the reception though? Honestly I'd try to convince her to wear the new dress the entire day, because it's still not right to wear that even for part of the day.

As for your BM...I'm glad you had a talk with her, but I would still trust her as far as you could throw her. That's just the type of person I am, but I wouldn't want you getting hurt by her in the future, and the fact that there was even the slightest inkling to follow through on that garbage speaks volumes.

I really hope all this gets better for you...what a ridiculous few days this has been for you

You must be so relieved to get that off your chest! It seems like things with you BM worked out as best the could given what's been going on. It stinks when you realize your not as close to someone as you won't were

Kerri glad it all came together in one shot. Glad your mom is getting a new dress and most importantly your BM is moving her eparty/wedding to a totally different date than your wedding. Hope you feel a ton of relief
