Things only brides notice

It seems like there has been a lot of fuss on our board lately about post-office related issues, ie hand-cancelling, stamps, etc. This is probably because many of us are in the invitation stage of planning.
I just wanted to use this opportnity to have everyone step back for a moment and remember something. The envelope of your invitation is something your guests will not have a second thought about (unless they are anal-retentive). Postmarks, stamps, and perhaps a bit of wrinkling is something only brides notice.
Don't stress so much over the small stuff - this is a minute detail in all your wedding related things.

I was just thinking this! Whenever I get a wedding invite in the mail, I am SO excited to see the actual invite that I just tear off the envelope. If the calligraphy is super nice, I may notice it, but I just never really noticed anything else on the invite envelopes.

This is why I ended up not having my invites hand cancelled. I was like 'no one is even going to care' plus from all the stuff I was reading they still put the invites in the bar coding machine. So I saved myself the stress and everyone still loved them.

totally agree!! no one notices that kind of stuff, and they still have to go through sorting machines anyway... its not fair for brides to be harrassing or getting upset with post office employees who have a million other things to do.... SOOO glad i'm not the only one with this pet peeve! LOL

I totally agree. I sent my FH to the post office to get the stamps and I didn't even think to tell him to make sure to get pretty stamps. Lol. I really could care less to be honest. I didn't even think about it until well after they were sent. That stuff is the least of our worries at this time.

The music! I went to my FH's aunts wedding and over 1 year later, I still remembered the song she walked down the aisle to. Her sister's didn't even remember!
